The Palisade in this model year is recognized for its strong family-friendly features, advanced safety/tech, and comfortable three-row seating. In the hands of a reputable dealership such as Michigan City Hyundai, you gain the benefits of a certified inspection, possibly warranty extensions and a vehicle that still incorporates near latest generation features.
Some of the headline benefits:
Upscale aesthetics, roomy cabin, seats for seven or eight depending on configuration.
Strong V6 engine with robust torque and a smooth 8-speed automatic transmission.
Very good safety and driver-assist package: standard advanced systems across trims.
Excellent technology and connectivity: large infotainment screens, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, multiple USB ports, WiFi hotspot in many specs.
The value-proposition of a certified 2024 model: technology/feature set still current, many years of useful life ahead, and depending on certification program maybe extra warranty/ perks.
Practical three-row SUV for families, carpools, road trips, gear hauling all the while being comfortable and refined.
Deep dive: Features, comfort & usability
Lets explore the many attributes you'll enjoy, and how they translate to everyday life.
Interior space & seating
This model is generous in cabin space. According to specs:
Up to eight passengers (depending on configuration) with flexible seating.
Cargo capacity: when you fold rows, you get substantial storage for luggage, gear, even moderate furniture moves.
The second- and third-row access and usability are well thought-out: wide door openings, sliding second row in some trims, good headroom and legroom given the class.
In daily use, this means:
You'll have room for kids, friends, or grandparents without feeling cramped.
The cargo area is flexible: whether its a sports team, weekend camping, or groceries + gear.
Long drives become comfortable; third-row isnt merely for occasional use, its legitimately usable (though third-row comfort is always slightly less than first two rows).
For families or multi-purpose use (rideshare, car-pool, hauling gear) its very useful.
Comfort & refinement
The Palisade shines here:
The ride is tuned more for quiet comfort than sporty harshness. Reviewers praise how the cabin absorbs road imperfections and maintains quiet.
Materials and fit-finish in the 2024 model are upgraded; touches like ambient lighting (in higher trims), good seat materials (heated/ventilated options) enhance comfort.
Technology comforts: large touchscreen, multiple USB ports (including in rear rows), WiFi hotspot, connectivity these keep all passengers satisfied during long drives.
Climate control for all rows: For families especially, keeping everyone comfortable (front/back) is a major benefit.
In your everyday driving:
You'll enjoy smooth highway cruising, minimal fatigue, good visibility, and comfort for driver + passengers.
The morning rush with kids or gear becomes less stressful when you have features like remote start, heated seats, maybe a hands-free liftgate or power fold seats (depending on trim) to lighten the load.
The overall feel is more premium than many base three-row SUVs; you'll feel you've leveled up without paying full luxury-SUV money.
Technology & connectivity
In the 2024 Palisade you'll find:
A large infotainment screen (12.3-inch in many trims) with modern graphics and responsiveness.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, allowing smartphone integration of maps/music/phone.
Multiple USB ports (front, second row, sometimes third row), optional wireless charging in higher trims.
WiFi hotspot, and good connectivity for rear-seat passengers (important in family use).

Traded UP to a Hyundai?
By DenverDude | on Sunday, July 26, 2020
Just 10 years ago, the idea of trading up to a Hyundai from a Ford or a Toyota or a Nissan or a Volkswagen (like I just did) would have been the punchline to a joke. Not anymore! This 2020 Hyundai Palisade is lapping the competition in its assigned mainstream 3-row SUV segment, but would comfortably hold its own against the likes of BMW, Infiniti, and Cadillac in the luxury segment. Seriously. The drive is good. 291 horsepower delivers adequate power. No one is drag racing their 3-row SUV anyway. Smooth transmission, comfortable, quiet ride. All Wheel Drive has been working well (although this is not a true off-road vehicle). MPG has been about 20% higher than the estimates. Had one 120-mile stretch where the Palisade averaged 36 (yes, 36) miles per gallon and NOT in Eco mode! This was an anomaly, as it usually gets about 24-26 MPG for me. Plenty of room. Not as cavernous as an Atlas or Traverse, but bigger than a Highlander or an Explorer (yes - believe it or not). Plus in the Limited trim that I bought, it is filled with great technology, safety features, and a luxurious combination of interior materials. It truly is the whole package. It's not 100 percent excellent - not having power folding mirrors is a demerit. And the stock Bridgestone tires should be Michelins instead. But these are "rich people problems." It's hard to find anything wrong with the Hyundai Palisade. (Also - I can't rate the reliability as a 5 because I have not owned it long enough. I assume it will be reliable considering it has a 10 year 100,000 mile drive train warranty.) This is the best vehicle I have ever owned, period...including my previous Jeep Grand Cherokee and Volkswagen Atlas. I am happy I traded up.… - 5.0

By Naser pop | on Wednesday, June 10, 2020
I was looking for a top notch 3 row mid size suv for my family of 6 . Me wife and 4 kids fit perfectly in this car just enough room . I didn’t want mini van too bulky and ugly . Or something small like a Toyota Highlander or a Honda Pilot this is just the perfect size . The tech is great i just wish it had adaptive headlights and folding mirrors then it would have been perfect…
